Scene 1: At the Park
(Sam and Lily are sitting on a bench at the park, talking.)
Sam: (looking around) Where is that little puppy? I thought it would be here by now.
Lily: (nervously) Oh no! Do you think it got lost?
Sam: Maybe. Let’s check around the bushes. It could be hiding there.
Tom: (running up to them) Hey guys! What’s going on?
Sam: Tom, have you seen the puppy? We can’t find it anywhere.
Tom: (thinking for a moment) Hmm… I saw it running towards the big tree over there.
Lily: Really? Let’s go see!
Scene 2: Near the Big Tree
(The three friends arrive near the big tree. They hear a faint whimpering sound.)
Sam: (excitedly) There it is! Under the tree!
Tom: (cautiously) Be careful, Sam. It might be scared.
Lily: (softly) Come here, little one. Don’t worry. We’re here to help you.
(Lily gently approaches the puppy and picks it up.)
Puppy: (whimpering softly) Woof woof!
Sam: (smiling) Look at its collar! There’s a note attached.
Tom: (reading the note aloud) “Please return me to my owner. My name is Max. I live at 123 Maple Street.”
Lily: (cheerfully) That’s great! Let’s take it to Max’s house right away.
Scene 3: At 123 Maple Street
(The trio arrives at a cozy house. A woman opens the door.)
Woman: (with relief) Oh thank goodness! You found Max!
Sam: (handing over the puppy) Here he is, ma’am.
Lily: (smiling) We were worried he was lost forever.
Tom: (nodding) But we’re glad we could help.
Woman: (hugging Max tightly) Thank you so much, kids! You’re heroes!
All: (together) No problem! We’re just happy to help.
End Scene
(Everyone waves goodbye as the woman closes the door.)
Sam: (grinning) That was fun!
Lily: (laughing) And look how happy Max is back with his family.
Tom: (raising a hand) Teamwork makes the dream work, right?
All: (laughing) Right!
[Curtain falls]
